Karvansaraye madar shah

Madershah Caravanserai or Morchekhort Caravanserai belongs to the Safavid period and is located in Shahinshahr and Mimeh, Morchekhort village and 50 km from Isfahan-Dolijan road. This work has been registered as one of Iran's national works in 2004 with registration number 13657.
Mader Shah Caravanserai was built during the reign of Shah Hossein Safavid and is one of the last works that was built in Isfahan at the end of Safavid rule. This caravanserai, which is one of the largest caravanserai in Isfahan, was built at the same time as the building of Chaharbagh School so that its income and profits could be used for the expenses of the students and maintenance of the school. On the head of this caravanserai, there is an inscription from the period of Mohammad Shah Qajar to the year 1251. During the Qajar period, this caravanserai, like other works of Isfahan, was disrespected by the ruler of Isfahan, Zalul Sultan, and finally it was sold by this ruling prince.

Madershah Caravanserai was converted into a military barracks in 1321 AD and around 1343 AD, it was decided to turn the caravanserai into an international guest house by preserving the artistic aspects and architectural values of the Safavid era. After the 1357 revolution, it was given to the Guards Corps. In 1379, this ancient heritage building was bought by a tourism development company and then by two private companies. Today it is also known as a restaurant complex and welcomes tourists.
